Erin Ako (b. 1991, Cieszyn, Poland) is a visual artist based in Barcelona, Spain. She works across oil painting, animation, and graphic design. A graduate of the Łódź Film School (2018), specializing in animation, she explores the intersection of movement, transformation, and visual expression.
Her oil paintings, created with pigments she grinds and mixes herself, depict simplified landscapes and figures that reflect the fluidity of inner states and societal shifts. For Erin, movement is both a visual language and a metaphor for change – emotional, personal, and collective. Her compositions balance graphic clarity with the dynamism of transformation, seeking coherence amid chaos.
Beyond painting, Erin creates experimental animated films, music visualizations, and graphic identities. Currently, she is developing a body of abstract spatial paintings, expanding her investigation into how image, motion, and space can merge. Her practice is an exploration of the human experience and the transformative power of movement.
