CYCLE NR. 1
OIL ON CANVAS WITH DRY PIGMENT AND PEARLS, 50 X 50cm, 2021
Inspired by Giorgio de Chirico’s metaphysical spaces, this painting constructs a surrealist architecture where time feels suspended and logic bent. The scattered dry pigment creates a sandy, unstable texture, while tiny pearls punctuate the surface like stars or distant lights. Everything operates in cycles and the title announces it directly. Birth and death, creation and decay, movement and return all occupy the same eternal present. The work suggests that linear progression is an illusion; we move through phases that repeat with variation, never quite returning to the same place but always recognizing the pattern.
